The Plan of Salvation

Consider for a moment the matter of your relationship with God. To have God’s promise of salvation, examine the following selections from the Bible in what is called the “Romans Road”

How can someone have eternal life?

Overall, people are not righteous, nor do they have a desire to be.

“as it is written: ‘None is righteous, no, not one.’” Romans 3:10

Mankind is sinful; in fact, everyone is a sinner.

“for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23

People are spiritually dead because of their sin.

“For the wages of sin is death.” Romans 6:23a

BUT, Jesus alone paid the price for your sin.

“but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8

The gift of salvation is free in Jesus the Christ.

“but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 6:23b

Because of faith, the spiritually dead are made alive.

“So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.” Romans 10:17

People will call on the Lord for His gift of eternal life.

“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Romans 10:13

The new Believer confesses and enjoys the Lord’s gift of salvation.

“because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” Romans 10:9

Where do you stand with Christ?

Where will you spend eternity?
